ARTIST APPLICATIONS FOR 2012 CAIRNS BLUES FESTIVAL ARE NOW CLOSED

 

APPLICATIONS FOR 2013 OPEN 1st AUGUST 2012

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1.   All applications will be accepted via email only and should be addressed to the events programmer, Dan Vowles at backstage@cairnsbluesfestival.com.au

2.    Artist needs to have an EP or Album released

3.    Artist needs to have a website/ webpage that contains there music

4.   Artist music needs to consist of at least 60% original content and be Blues Music Orientated. This includes the performance at the festival

5.    Artist needs to include a quote for their performance with their application

Guide to performance quote as follows

A.  You should include travel costs in your quote as we do not arrange or provide flights

B.   We will provide 1 nights accomodation (twin share) plus transfers to and from airport to hotel and festival venue

C. Your performance will consist of One set performance only to a maximum of 1.5hrs only (average is 1HR)

D.  We will provide full productiion and backline stage gear

Note for consideration; We are a small low budget festival of approx 1500 patrons run by a non-profit committee.

Most previously successful applicants have been chosen due to their low fee offer. Most previous applicants only charge for their costs as they see the value in exposing their act to a new audience as there will be extensive media coverage of your act co-ordinated by a professional publisist.

Locally North Queensland based acts may be exempt from some or all of the above conditions at the discretion of the selection committee and are encouraged to apply.
