    Hello,

My name is Huw. I have an act called ‘Fox Control’. I would love to apply to play at the 2013 Cairns blues festival. How do I go about applying as a performing artist? I just released my first E.P which Debuted at #1 on the Australian iTunes blues charts.

Below are web links and a short bio & gig review for your viewing.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kind Regards

    Bio
Fox Control lovingly loops live guitar with electronic samples and breakbeats to generate an eccentric and thoroughly entertaining mish-mash of latin/blues and roots/electronica. A genre monkey would call it: Blue-Latin Electro-Roots, if you will. He needs to be seen to be believed.

The Fox Control (self titled) E.P debuted at number 1 on the Australian iTunes blues charts!!! (19th, 20th & 21st of Sept 2012)

Previous to Fox Control Huw’s history is filled with rock and roll ethos. In the past he has toured Australia and played on records with platinum selling artist Grant Walmsley (Screaming Jets, Agents of Peace), played in a boogie band behind Canned Heat’s James T, teaches private music tuition along side the worlds loudest drummer Col Hatchman (Guiness World Records, Nat Col & the Kings) and has worked as an accidental guitar tech for the Angel’s Brewster brothers side of stage at one Australia’s most prestigious venues the Enmore theatre. Huw also topped the download charts at http://www.mp3.com.au for blues and roots, psychedelic and peaked at number 4 overall in 2004 with an bluesy acoustic slide track called ‘mojo’. All of this was under the alias of Baby Legs Jones.

Fox Control is the link between live instrumentation and electronic music. Huw Jones’ (a.k.a Fox Control) live producing with multiple instruments, sampling and looping is as unique as his live setup. Live you will see Spanish guitar, plodding bass & MPC for synths, voices, sampled breaks & constructed grooves and If this sounds like 10 people on a stage then you are mistaken! This plethora of audio delights is all created by 1 person!!! P.S. He is also a self managed & self booked independent artist.

So if you love live music, think ‘Electronic music isn’t real’ & understand the power of rhythm then this is probably right up your alley. Come take a look at this Fun, crisp & original act for yourself…
